A screen shot from the game Ingress being developed by Google. Players are encouraged to travel about and capture portals for their team and link them together to create a field as seen below. A field will gain points or Mind Units for a team and contribute to the overall global score. This example shows a cluster of field that covered the entire San Francisco bay area. It took up 20 or more players working together from Mendino down to Santa Barbara to create this field.

Greetings backer, and potential backers...and well anyone else who stops by. This will be, for the time being the spot where I indicate project status, post updates, and make general comments about what is going on. I'll have the Youtube channel up and running by the time the Kickstarter goes live.
Couple of notes: I plan to have a video put together this weekend that will serve as the Kickstarter video to help generate more sympathy and support. Honestly I hope there are lots of folk out there willing to support with even just a couple bucks. I tried to keep the kickstarter funding level as low as possible, but between Kickstarter and Amazon, they eat up nearly 10% of all backing. While I can get behind the Kickstarter guys taking 5%, I think Amazon's cut is way too high for the service they provide.
I'm sure people will want to know about how the funds are being used. I will put together a spreadsheet that documents expenses and the like (I'm good at spreadsheets). I'll keep this process as transparent as possible given time and circumstance. Some of the anticipated immediate expenses are; a better microphone then the one I have, transport for a 4 day trek to track down a Jarvis shard (rented van, gas, cheap motels etc), inexpensive legal review of release forms for interviews and event coverage (I'm told this is important :-)
I'll have more later today.
